5) Bagolino, a medieval town in the mountains

Built along the road which connects Lake Idro to Mount Maniva, Bagolino is one gem of a town, definitely worth a visit. Famous for the renowned Bagòss cheese and the Bagolino Carnival, this small town boasts one of the biggest and most important religious sites, in terms of artistic relevance, in the province of Brescia: it’s the church of San Giorgio, also known as “Cattedrale di Montagna” (Mountain Cathedral).
