Excursion to Prato della Noce Natural Reserve

At dawn, independent excursion to Malga Prato della Noce mountain shed, in a beautiful area between Sabbia Valley and Lake Garda, in Lombardy Forest along the Gardesana Occidentale road. The goat shed is full of mixed-breed and Bionda dell’Adamello goats, who will make for a very special excursion!
The departure is from Vobarno. You climb across the little known Degagna valley until the small old village of Cecino, from which an interesting trail starts, with beautiful natural views. Upon arrival, hearty and healthy breakfast offered by the goat herder, who will introduce us to the animals present in this Alpine farm  (goats, pigs, chickens, horses). Lunch will follow, with tasting of mountain products. In the afternoon, after some well-deserved rest, we will discover local Alpine aromatic herbs. Milking can be attended in late afternoon. You can also take the goats to the meadow to graze. If you want to enjoy the sunset from the mountain and a true goat herder dinner, you can stay at the shed of Rifugio Campei de Sima mountain hut, reachable with a short evening walk. You can also start from there and do the itinerary backward. It’s still a very intense experience!
From Cecino di Vobarno to Prato della Noce: the meadow is reachable by a mule track, on foot or by 4×4 car. Walk time is 1h30, 30 minutes by car. Height difference is m. 450

What is included

The one-day experience included breakfast, lunch, and visit to the mountain shed. The two-day experience includes all meals and overnight stay: up to 4 people will be hosted by the shed, while larger goups can sleep at Rifugio Campei de Sima hut.

What is not included

Transportation and linens for those who sleep at the Rifugio.
