Lombard food in ancient Brixia
This workshop reviews the most significant moments of the migratory path that brought the Lombards to Italy, highlighting changes to their diet caused by getting in contact and being influenced by the different peoples they met and by the ingredients available in the regions they crossed. The experience ends with the recreation, with artificial materials, of traditional Lombard dishes, which in actuality were the result of different cultural influences.
Those who are interested can visit the Santa Giulia Museum, the jewel in Brescia’s museum system crown and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
