
The museum was founded in 1956 and is hosted in an ancient 15th century building in the historic centre of Gavardo. The exhibition focuses on paleontology – fossils, stones, and animal skeletons -, local archeology, and the history of humankind from the Middle Paleolithic to Post Renaissance.

The Museum offers educational and workshop activities designed for elementary and middle school children.
