Bici percorso panoramico lago d'Iseo

Lake Iseo: what a view!

Starting from the centre of the village of Marone, leave the coastal road following the signs for Zone. The climb articulates on moderate slopes with a short steep section only when crossing Colpiano. During the ride, you can therefore focus on admiring Lake Iseo and observing the natural landscape: below, olive trees from which the prestigious DOP extra virgin olive oil Laghi Lombardi is produced; above, meadows and forests on Punta Cunicolo and Monte Vignole.

The road leads you to the scenographic natural phenomenon called earth pyramids and, a little further on, passes the village of Cislano with the churches of San Giorgio and San Cassiano. When you reach the village of Zone, continue towards Cusato, go up through the houses and turn left onto Via Ciclamino. After passing Valle di Tuf, the road surface alternates stretches on dirt and cement. Continue uphill for a short distance and then start to go down past some apple orchards, until you reach a left turn where the trail becomes a path and enters the woods. The uneven section between stones is less than three hundred metres and, at the end, the descent continues to the right on a dirt road passing near a chestnut grove (by Monte Marone). After a short steep section on cement, you cross a paved road; follow it for a very short distance and proceed straight on the descent which winds through vineyards and olive groves. Close to the quarry there is a very steep cobbled mule track which offers glimpses of Marone and Lake Iseo. Near some houses, you go down a cobblestone road which then becomes an asphalt road. After crossing the railway tracks, follow the Bagnadore stream and you reach the centre of Marone again.
