Surrounded by nature and in an isolated position, the church was built a few decades after the year 1000 A.D. over the remains of an older pagan devotional site. Rebuilt in its current form toward the end of the 15th century, it presents a simple gable on the façade and is decorated with frescoes, the oldest of which date from 1446.
