A glass in your hand and a voice narrating the art of making sparkling wine

Corte Fusia Franciacorta

The experience

It is a pleasure to listen to Gigi and follow him in his winery located in an old, beautifully restored 17th century farm in Coccaglio. He guides us through vinification steel tanks, the aging room, and the tasting room. He explains the origins of the rocky, clay-rich soil of Monte Orfano which gives life to the Franciacorta sparkling wine, renowned all over the world. He talks about the traditional method process, shows the equipment needed, and praises the grape varieties – Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and White Pinot Noir – that are used to produce this wine. The result: Franciacorta Brut, Satén, Rosè, Zero.

These are the sparkling wines that you will taste under the large porch, accompanied by local dishes. This is a very fascinating experience because it shows the passion of Gigi and Daniele for making wine respecting local protocols but adding their own values. They love and respect the soil, so they avoid aggressive cultivation methods. They are more interested in producing excellent wine than in having a market-driven mindset. The result in your glass absolutely summarizes their philosophy.

Upon request, the experience can be enhanced with a walk in the vineyard at the foot of Monte Orfano (maximum altitude mt450), when the season and the weather permit.

Aimed at

Adults (and families) passionate for good wine, especially sparkling wine, curious about wineries and the Franciacorta wine-making process.
