Terroir, wine, and labels: an unconventional tasting experience

The Experience

Elena and Mario, the managers of San Michele winery, have chosen to go organic. This choice was dictated by the need to get the best out of their vineyards on the slopes of Monte Netto. Quality first!
This is their motto, what makes them stand out, and what drivers their commitment to promoting the area’s most representative native wine varietal: Marzemino.
The beautiful blue-black grapes are transformed into prestigious wines, pure or blended. Elena and Mario lead us to the discovery of the winery, the wine-making process, and their “creatures”: the ones that rest in the barrel before bottling and the lighter ones for everyday use.
Apart from the reds, the winery also makes an excellent traditional method sparkling wine and some white labels. Labels are the focus of our hands-on experience. Indeed, other than enjoying a good tasting with the explanation of
aromatic and tasting parameters and suggestions on pairings, we will create our own front and back labels.
After choosing the bottle, we will paint a front label and create the language for the back label with the characteristics and bottling parameters of the wine inside. This will be you personal bottle!
